The Gap, Sydney Australia
This sunset landscape shot looking across Sydney Heads in the background was taken at The Gap in Watsons Bay. Sydney's "The Gap" is an ocean cliff on the South Head peninsula in eastern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. After the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788, The Gap served as a makeshift signaling station on the ridge - its role was to give early warning to the colony of any approaching ship. This historic location is a perfect spot visited my so many landscape photographers.
